Any student, faculty, staff or parent that has flu-like symptoms, any symptoms of COVID-19 within the past 14 days, or have had any close contact with someone who is suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days or have traveled outside of NYC on public transportation in the past 14 days we ask that you please not attend class or enter the studio.
All faculty, staff and dancers are required to wear a face covering or mask when entering and exiting the studio. When actively dancing, students and teachers MUST WEAR A MASK and leave them on during class. Dancers under the age of two years old are not required to mask, it is optional.
Faculty, staff, students and anyone entering the studio will receive temperature checks every day upon their arrival.
Class size limits will be set by allowing for at 6 feet of distance between students at all times. Each student will have an assigned square and/or a spot on the floor and at the barre which will help to give dancers the optimal amount of space to continue practicing social distancing.
Please arrive dressed and ready for class, each dancer will have a designated area for their belongings. Footwear must be removed upon entering the dance studio. Dance shoes can be changed into from our waiting room, chairs are set 6 ft apart. ALL STUDENTS MUST COME DRESSED FOR CLASS. CHANGING IN THE BATHROOM IS NOT ALLOWED.
Following the CDC Guidance for Cleaning and Disinfecting, the studio will be cleaned and dance equipment and props will be disinfected between each use. Staff will frequently clean and disinfect all frequently touched surfaces (e.g., door handles) common areas, and equipment between classes.
Hand sanitizer stations are at each entrance and inside each studio, you will be required to cleanse your hands upon arrival/departure. All faculty, staff and dancers should wash their hands regularly. We also ask students to carry their own hand sanitizer in their personal bag. The CDC recommends this as one of the best practices to avoid transmission of the virus.
We are committed to offering dance education and fitness to our students in a variety of ways to meet the health, safety and individual needs of the time. We will continue to offer online dance classes in addition to the more limited in-person classes to accommodate demand for remote instruction.
